Man Removes Icons, Bibles from Church at Bishop's Urging and Throws Them into Adjacent Gorge

Today, November 6, SHAMSHYAN.com has received reports that during a visit to the Getargel Church in the Kotayk region, citizens discovered religious icons, Bibles, crosses depicting Jesus, and other sanctified items thrown in a wretched condition in a gorge adjacent to the church.

According to the website, all these items had previously been placed inside the church. The police division of Kotayk will determine who took this action and under what circumstances.

While church visitors are discussing this issue, a man and a woman arrived at the site in a Mercedes vehicle, and the man stated that they did it at the instruction of the bishop, as the bishop claimed that all these items were "ungodly things." The man also mentioned that they did not simply throw them away but rather "carefully" brought everything out of the church and arranged it in the gorge.
