Large Quantity of Expired Food Discovered in a Yerevan Store: APIA
Recently, a citizen who called the hot line of the RA Food Safety Inspection Body reported that they had purchased "Elnor" brand butter from a store in the Avan administrative district of Yerevan, only to find out at home that it was expired.
Inspection body specialists conducted supervisory measures at the sales point owned by Vahe Verdyan, resulting in the discovery of a large quantity of expired food items (approximately two kilograms in total weight, including various types of chocolate candies, sunflower halva with peanuts, Elnor plant-based spread, six packs of sour cream, strawberry yogurt with lactose, two bottles of ketchup, various brands of sausage, cooked sausages labeled as "medical," and suluguni cheese).
The expired food was destroyed on-site. Additionally, food products with inadequate labeling were also found, which led to an order to suspend the sale of those products.
