Major Car Accident on Goris-Kapan Highway, Injuries Reported

On October 30 at 06:45, the emergency service '911' received a report of an accident that occurred at the 15th km of the Kajaran-Meghri road, with injuries reported and the need for rescue assistance. This information was provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

A firefighting and rescue unit from the regional rescue department of the Ministry has been dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the car accident involved a ‘VAZ-2101’ vehicle (driver: Gegham M., born in 1998) which had veered off the roadway and overturned at the 24th km of the Goris-Kapan section of the M-2 highway.

Before the rescuers arrived, emergency medical personnel provided first aid to the driver and the passenger Arthur S. (born in 1985) at the scene. The rescuers relocated the vehicle, cut off the power source, and closed the gas cylinder valve.
