Lebanon's Prime Minister Resigns
Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri has announced his resignation from the prime ministerial position. He also indicated that he is heading to the presidential palace to submit his resignation letter to President Michel Aoun.
This announcement was made by Saad Hariri during an interview on the Lebanese al-Mayadeen television channel.
For the past two weeks, anti-government protests have been ongoing in Lebanon. Demonstrators are voicing their discontent over the economic situation in the country and are demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister.
