False Alarm: No Explosive Device Found in Hotel Building
On October 29, at 11:20 AM, a report was received by the "911" service about an explosive device allegedly placed in the "Hyatt Place Yerevan" hotel located at 26/1 Vazgen Sargsyan Street in Yerevan.
Emergency response teams immediately arrived at the scene, including one firefighting unit from the Yerevan Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a crisis management national center emergency response group, an on-duty physician from the disaster medicine center, a psychological advisor from the psychological support division, a canine unit from the special purpose rescue operations center, and an engineering and rescue unit from the civil defense department.
Evacuations were carried out for safety. As of 12:21 PM, the canine unit and the police were conducting a thorough search of the area.
By 1:17 PM, the search operations were concluded without finding any explosive devices.
