Official Figures Avoid Declaring Assets; Cases Sent to Prosecutor's Office
'Past' newspaper reports that as of October 1, 2019, 18 individuals failed to submit declarations of property, income, and related persons upon assuming or terminating their official duties.
The newspaper inquired with the commission about the number of high-ranking officials who did not submit declarations regarding the assumption or termination of official duties, as well as their annual declarations for 2018, during the period from July 1 to September 30, 2019.
As of October 1, 2019, 6 officials had not submitted their annual declaration for 2018. In connection with this, administrative violation proceedings were initiated, and administrative penalties were imposed.
In October 2019, 4 cases were sent to the Republic of Armenia's Prosecutor General's Office for allegedly willfully failing to submit the annual declaration for 2018.
