Some Speakers from the WCIT 2019 Conference Wish to Invest in Armenia
Several speakers who participated in the WCIT 2019 - World Conference on Information Technology held in Armenia have sent a message to the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE), expressing their desire to invest in the country.
This was reported today at a press conference by UATE President Alexander Isayan. “The conference met expectations, and even exceeded them. We are in contact with all the speakers, discussing their interests individually. Some have already sent letters expressing their intention to invest in Armenia, both from companies and venture funds,” Isayan stated.
Isayan did not disclose the names of those expressing interest in investment, but noted that the number of applicants exceeds four. He urged Armenian companies to speak up about the collaborations established during the conference, although he mentioned that some have informed them through messages.
He noted that he has received significant feedback from foreign companies with offices in Armenia, some of which have decided to expand their operations in Armenia. San Jose State University is also considering collaboration with Armenian universities.
