Charges Filed Against 4 Individuals for Hindering Activities of 'Hayeli' Club
As a result of necessary investigative and procedural actions conducted by the Investigative Department of the Armenian Investigative Committee for the Center and Norq-Marash administrative districts in Yerevan, a number of circumstances related to the obstruction of the professional legal activities of the 'Hayeli' club have been identified. Charges have been filed against 4 individuals.
According to the data obtained by the investigation, a group of individuals hurled eggs at the wall of the 'Hayeli' club, posted placards, and announced that they would not allow the operation of the news site, in connection with an article titled 'Aliyev's Late but Strong Response to Pashinyan from Putin’s Side' published on the 'hayeli.am' news website.
Based on a combination of sufficient evidence obtained, the 4 young individuals have been charged under the first part of Article 164 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. As a preventive measure, they have been ordered to refrain from leaving the country. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
