An immoral lie is being wrapped around my name. Anna Hakobyan
The wife of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Anna Hakobyan, addressed one of the publications about her on her Facebook page: "The media is trying to wrap another immoral lie around my name, claiming that I traveled to Geneva on a government plane. For this occasion, let me tell you a part of my conversation with the Catholicos in Geneva.
When we were already preparing to return to Yerevan on the same flight from Geneva to Moscow to Yerevan, I said to him: 'Your Holiness, please don’t be concerned that I’m traveling in economy class; I always do it this way.' I did this to prevent his surprise when I would walk past him on the plane and be seated in the next cabin. We joked a little about this topic, after which he very seriously asked how true it is that last year when I traveled to the USA, I was on the same plane as Mehriban Aliyeva, and in fact, she flew business class while I flew economy. I answered that such a thing did not happen; I have never been on the same plane with that individual. The Catholicos was very surprised, as I suppose he hadn’t questioned the authenticity of the news in light of conversations with various people. Now, I would really like to see the Catholicos’s face when he is told that I used a government plane during my visit to Switzerland," she wrote.
