I Am Confident That The Court Will Satisfy Our Claim: Armen Muradyan
As previously reported, Yerevan State Medical University rector Armen Muradyan has filed a lawsuit against Health Minister Arsen Torosyan. Muradyan is demanding a retraction of defamatory statements and compensation for damages.
In an interview with ArmDaily.am, Muradyan's lawyer, Gagik Khachikyan, expressed confidence in their victory. “We must insist on our claim. I am confident that the court will satisfy it, as the evidence we have is absolutely true,” Khachikyan stated.
The exact date of the first court hearing is still unknown, as they have not yet received a notification. “Practice shows that receiving a notification can take anywhere from 15 days to a month,” the lawyer mentioned.
Khachikyan stated they will present their arguments, observe the opposing party’s arguments, and await the court's ruling. It should be noted that the lawsuit was filed on October 2. The case has been assigned to Judge Grigor Vardanyan of the Yerevan City General Jurisdiction Court.
Recall that during a press conference on September 3, Torosyan announced in a Facebook live stream that the campaign against him is being directed by Armen Muradyan. In response, Muradyan accused Arsen Torosyan of lying.
