‘Panama Ruler’ Mihran Poghosyan Has Debts
‘Hraparak’ newspaper writes that “the king of offshore” is also a debtor. Mihran Poghosyan, former head of the State Revenue Committee, is facing a lawsuit requesting his ‘Kecharis Hotel’ company be declared bankrupt.
The newspaper has learned that Gagik Badalyan, who filed for bankruptcy on October 1, claims that ‘Kecharis Hotel’ has a significant debt of 25 million drams. It has also come to our attention that this year, ‘Hiksos’ and ‘Sos Systems’ companies filed lawsuits to reclaim money from the same hotel. The latter has since withdrawn its lawsuit, while the case against the former continues.
Following the reopening of the criminal case against the “Panama ruler” Justice General Poghosyan, it is worth noting that his companies have come under closer scrutiny from law enforcement agencies. We have reported that his company, ‘Katherine Group,’ was declared bankrupt back in March. Mihran Poghosyan is currently on the run and located in the Russian Federation.
