15 Years Later, Yet the 'Old Yerevan' Project is Still Far from Completion

The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports that even back in 2004, when the demolition of Yerevan's historic buildings began, we were assured that the demolished structures would be gathered in a designated area named 'Old Yerevan.' Stones were numbered and moved. Fifteen years later, however, the project still seems far from completion. Construction works are ongoing.

Yesterday we visited the construction site. One of the workers mentioned that they do not know when the work will finish; sometimes they work for a day, but then several days pass without progress, and the end of the project remains out of sight. Moreover, there are issues related to access to parking spaces for the newly built structures, and it remains unclear how these will be resolved.
