Simon Martirosyan Claims Small Gold Medal, Competition Continues

Today, the 109 kg weight category weightlifters have taken to the platform at the Weightlifting World Championships underway in Thailand. As is well known, one of the leading contenders in this weight category is Armenian weightlifter Simon Martirosyan.

Competitions for the snatch event have concluded, and Simon is currently in first place. Thus, he has already secured a small gold medal.

He first lifted 190 kilograms, then in his second attempt, he raised 195 kilograms, and in his third attempt, he succeeded with 199 kilograms. The Belarusian athlete in second place is trailing him by one kilogram, while the Chinese weightlifter in third place is behind by two kilograms.
