We Covered 30 km of the Second Tunnel of the Arpa-Sevan Water Pipeline in About 6 Hours: Suren Papikyan

We covered 30 km of the second tunnel of the Arpa-Sevan water pipeline (Yeghegis-Tsovinar) in about 6 hours. This was stated by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, on his Facebook page.

We got acquainted with the renovation works completed in the tunnel, which has increased the water carrying capacity to 19 m³/s. Previously, the highest recorded capacity was 14 m³/s.

We also examined the remaining emergency sections, and after completing their repairs, we will ensure uninterrupted operation of the tunnel for the next 10 years.
