VIDEO: Several Pharmacy Directors Arrested in Yerevan Amid Criminal Case

Recently, operational data were received at the main department of the police's Criminal Investigation Department, indicating that a man living in Yerevan was acquiring narcotic substances from various pharmacies in the city.

According to the police, on September 19, he was identified and taken to the Kanaker-Zeitun police station. During a personal search, four pills of Lyrica were found in his possession. As part of subsequent measures, police determined from which specific pharmacies the man had purchased the narcotic pills and for how much.

In connection with the criminal case initiated on this fact, police officers conducted searches in two pharmacies located on Komitas and Arshakuniats avenues, discovering 582 and 150 Lyrica pills, respectively. Additionally, law enforcement officers searched one pharmacy on Kajaznuni Street in Yerevan, where another 111 pills of the same type were found.

The directors of the pharmacies have been arrested. The circumstances are being clarified, and an investigation is underway.
