Officials Denied Entry to Gyumri's Black Fortress Event
The newspaper "Haykakan Zhamanak" reports that the event at Gyumri's Black Fortress on Independence Day was poorly organized. Invitations were distributed in greater numbers than the venue's capacity, resulting in several deputy ministers and MPs being left outside and unable to enter.
When security personnel saw there was no more room inside, they denied entry to Deputy Foreign Ministers Artak Apitonian, Avet Adonts, Deputy Minister of Education Arevik Anapiosyan, several legislators, officers, and Major-General Grigori Khachaturov, as well as the Chair of the Central Electoral Commission, Tigran Mukuchyan, and Raphael Kotanjyan.
Those who were denied entry waited outside until the event concluded and attended the reception afterward. In contrast, the seats of honor were occupied by Garegin Chugaszyan from the "Sasna Tsrer" party, Zhirayr Sefilyan, assistants to MPs, and secretaries from the government.
