ArmDaily.am has learned who was with Haik Harutyunyan at his villa in Bjni when he committed suicide. Sources from the news outlet report that a former official from the police system and a longtime friend of the former police chief was present.

It is said that in recent times, Harutyunyan was not himself, had become very reclusive, and was consuming a lot of alcohol. On the day of the incident, Harutyunyan was also not sober; the person at his home suddenly heard a noise, went to check, and found Harutyunyan sitting on the couch, bleeding from his head.

The media source categorically denies claims that Haik Harutyunyan spoke about the March 1 case before his death, allegedly saying, "I’m being forced to give false testimony, after all, Robert Kocharyan and Gegham Petrosyan are not guilty."
