General-Major Rank Granted to Khachaturov's Son
The President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, has signed a decree granting the rank of General-Major to Grigori Khachaturov. The decree states: ‘Based on the Prime Minister’s recommendation, in accordance with the second part of Article 133 of the Constitution, as well as the first part of point 1 of Article 16 of the Law on Military Service and the Status of Servicemen, the commander of the Third Army Corps, Colonel Grigori Yuri Khachaturov is hereby awarded the military rank of General-Major.’
It is noteworthy that Grigori Khachaturov is the son of the former Secretary General of the CSTO, Yuri Khachaturov.
