Earthquake in Shirak Province
On September 19, at 22:42 local time (18:42 GMT), a 2.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded by the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia. The epicenter was located at geographical coordinates 41.040° N latitude and 43.920° E longitude, 13 km southeast of the village of Bavra, at a depth of 10 km.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that the intensity of the tremor in the epicentral zone reached 3 points. The earthquake was felt in the villages of Bavra, Ghazanchi, and Ashotzk in Shirak Province, with a felt intensity of 3 points.
