City Hall Transfers Funds to Sanitek for Salary Payments
Several dozen employees of Sanitek once again gathered at the City Hall today, hoping for clarification regarding the unpaid salaries for August. This was reported by the press secretary of the Mayor of Yerevan, Hakob Karapetyan, on his Facebook page.
"I presented them with an officially stamped and signed document confirming that the City Hall transferred sufficient funds to Sanitek for salary payments in August. Naturally, the City Hall cannot answer the question of why the company has not paid the money owed to its employees. Nevertheless, as this concerns our fellow citizens, the City Hall is currently seeking legal avenues to ensure that the funds paid to Sanitek reach the employees. At the same time, we remind that the obligation to pay salaries rests solely with Sanitek," the statement read.
Today, Sanitek also issued a statement noting that approximately 430 million AMD should have been transferred to the company by the Yerevan City Hall for the services provided in 12 administrative districts for the month of August. "In the first half of August, the Yerevan City Hall transferred 141 million 831 thousand 728 AMD to our company, and during that period, the City Hall withheld 69 million 546 thousand 191 AMD, paying only for 5 of the 12 administrative districts," the statement said.
