If I Were Fleeing, Azerbaijani Would Be Drinking Tea in Stepanakert Today: Kocharian

“Lawyers are urging me to definitely say something,” said Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharian today in court, addressing the presiding judge Anna Danibekyan.

“If the decision of the Constitutional Court is being disregarded in this court, then there is probably no point in saying anything,” he added.

Regarding the circumstances of hiding from the investigation, Kocharian noted that it may be difficult to understand, but he is not the person who would flee from something.

“If I were fleeing, today Azerbaijanis would be drinking tea in Stepanakert. It is even offensive for me to have to say this. A person's biography speaks more about them than any statements they might make,” Kocharian emphasized.
