Fact: During Closed Meeting, MPs Warned Not to Give ‘Leaps’ and to Avoid Heavy Political Questions

The newspaper "Fact" reports: "During a closed session of the ‘My Step’ faction held days ago, government MPs repeatedly expressed that it is impossible to sidestep the escalated situation in the country and that steps must be taken to mitigate it.

MPs were warned in advance not to give any ‘leaps’ when communicating with journalists and to circumvent ‘heavy’ political issues—such as Amulsar, the Istanbul Convention, the Kocharyan case, among others—in all possible ways.

In advance, issues that should be raised during the Q&A session with the government were distributed, and even the general outlines of the texts for announcements were sent from the executive’s staff, ensuring that no missteps go beyond the ‘line’ set by the authorities.

There are indications that Prime Minister Pashinyan is worried that surprises, like that of Edgar Arakelyan, could happen again, and he is trying to use all methods to create a ‘constructive environment’ within his team.

However, not all MPs are able to avoid such ‘leaps.’ Specifically, an interview was given the day before by Hovik Aghazaryan regarding judges, which, according to our sources, has become a serious topic of discussion within the faction.”
