Vladimir Putin to Hold Meetings with Erdogan and Rouhani in Ankara

Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold bilateral meetings with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani as part of discussions aimed at resolving the Syrian conflict, according to RIA Novosti, citing Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.

“As you know, a tripartite meeting of guarantor countries facilitating the resolution of the Syrian conflict is scheduled for Monday in an Astana format. The meeting will take place in Ankara, and the President will be traveling there. Bilateral meetings with both Rouhani and Erdogan are also planned,” Peskov stated.

The summit of the presidents of Russia, Turkey, and Iran, aimed at addressing issues related to the resolution of the Syrian conflict, will take place on September 16 at the historic Çankaya Palace in Ankara. According to Turkish presidential spokesperson Ibrahim Kalin, discussions during the summit will focus on the situation in Syria's Idlib region, as well as matters related to the formation of Syria's constitutional committee.
