The War in Syria Has Ended: Lavrov
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the war in Syria has "indeed ended." He made this remark during an interview with the newspaper "Trud."
"The war in Syria has actually ended. The country is gradually returning to normal peaceful life," Lavrov said, noting that pockets of tension remain in areas not controlled by the Syrian authorities. In particular, this refers to Idlib and the eastern bank of the Euphrates River.
The minister emphasized that Russia advocates for the restoration of Syria's territorial integrity. According to him, in such conditions, it is a priority to provide humanitarian assistance to Syria and to resolve the crisis politically to achieve reliable and long-term stability both in Syria and throughout the Middle East region.
