‘Zhoghovurd’: Artak Davtyan's Son Serves in a 'Soft' Military Unit, Discussions at the Ministry of Defense

‘Zhoghovurd’ newspaper reports that discussions have been ongoing within the Ministry of Defense regarding Artak Davtyan, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, and his son.

The issue is that the son has been transferred to a military unit located in the Vayots Dzor region, under the Ministry of Defense. According to rumors circulating in the ministry, the son of the Chief of the General Staff is serving in a unit that is considered to be ‘soft’ and not bordering on conflict zones. This unit has previously been known to have hosted the sons of prominent officials.

This comes at a time when, for example, the sons of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan are serving in Artsakh, putting their lives at risk.
