Constitutional Court Statement on Robert Kocharyan's Request to Appeal to the Venice Commission
The staff of the Constitutional Court of Armenia has issued a statement regarding the appeal to the Venice Commission based on the request of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan.
"In connection with the request submitted to the Venice Commission by the Constitutional Court for an advisory opinion regarding cases accepted for consideration by the Constitutional Court based on the requests of the Yerevan City First Instance Court and Robert Kocharyan, the staff of the Constitutional Court informs that the Venice Commission expressed its willingness to provide an advisory opinion (amicus curiae opinion) in a letter dated August 20, 2019," the statement reads.
