Activist: The police divided people, I was one of them
Our stance has not changed; we have been saying for several years that Amulsar will not become a mine. This was stated by activist Ani Khachatryan in a conversation with ArmDaily.am today.
“I have been a participant in the project since 2012, I have been against it and I continue to be against it. I am still participating in protests; on Monday, when the police were dividing people, I was one of them. We have been saying for all these years that the exploitation of a mine there is unacceptable, considering both the environmental issues and the local community's stance, which is against mining in that area. Given all the circumstances, that mine should simply not be exploited, period.”
It should be noted that Ani Khachatryan gained recognition among the public especially after her argument with the driver of bus number 46.
