Activist Gegham Adyan Transferred to Hospital, Ombudsman's Rapid Response Team Deployed to Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center
Activist Gegham Adyan has been transferred to Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center from near the Arabkir police station. The hospital's deputy director, Artak Manukyan, informed NEWS.am about this development.
According to Manukyan, Adyan claims he was assaulted, but a diagnosis indicates that he is suffering from a neurotic reaction and heart rhythm disturbances. Currently, a medical examination is underway, and the patient's condition is assessed as satisfactory.
Earlier reports indicated that six activists protesting against the exploitation of Amulsar were apprehended near the National Assembly.
Representatives of the Human Rights Defender have had private conversations with the detained individuals at the Arabkir police station. It was confirmed on-site that one individual has been transferred to Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center.
At the instruction of the Human Rights Defender, another rapid response team has been dispatched to the medical center to ascertain the citizen's health condition. It is noteworthy that the Human Rights Defender's office is monitoring the events related to the Amulsar mine.
