Two More Charges Laid Against Former Kyrgyz President Atambayev
The former President of Kyrgyzstan, Almazbek Atambayev, has been charged in two additional criminal cases, according to reports by the РИА Новости news agency. Atambayev is accused of corruption. Both cases relate to the acquisition of land in the village of Koy-Tash.
With these latest charges, Atambayev now faces accusations in a total of 10 cases. He is implicated in a variety of serious crimes, including organizing mass riots, murder, attempted murder, hostage-taking, and violence against law enforcement representatives.
According to special services, Atambayev was engaged in organizing a coup d'état.
