Warning to the Public: Avoid Using Measuring Equipment from Several Resorts

The Market Surveillance Inspectorate has warned the public not to use the measuring equipment from several resort centers. "Dear citizens, the Market Surveillance Inspectorate of the Republic of Armenia urges everyone not to use the services provided by the measuring devices of 'Gladzor Resort' LLC, 'Jermuk-3 Resort' LLC, 'Jermuk New Life Resort' LLC, and 'Ararat' Mother and Child Resort LLC, as the measurement results are utilized in the healthcare sector. According to the decision No. 113-N of the Government of Armenia dated February 11, 2016, these measuring devices have not been verified according to the legally established procedure, thus their data may be inaccurate, potentially leading to misdiagnosis and endangering your life.

Inspections carried out by the Market Surveillance Inspectorate at the aforementioned resorts revealed that they did not comply with Article 16 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia on 'Measurement Uniformity,' specifically regarding the verification of measuring instruments, which states: '1. The measuring instruments established by the Government of the Republic of Armenia are subject to verification'; and '2. Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs using measuring instruments are required to submit the measuring instruments established by the Government of the Republic of Armenia for verification for commercial purposes.'

To eliminate the identified violations, orders have been issued to the business operators. The Market Surveillance Inspectorate will provide additional information regarding the implementation of these orders and the verification of the aforementioned measuring devices.
