Threats Made Against Official in Yerevan to Release 18+ Video, Large Sum Demanded
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, materials are being prepared at the Main Department for the Fight Against Organized Crime of the Police based on a complaint from a 51-year-old resident of Yerevan identified as B.S.
As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, B.S. informed the employees of the 6th department that he had recently made acquaintances through the social media platform Facebook and had communicated with a user named “Maria…”. At the suggestion of this user, he showed his sexual organs during a video call.
According to Shamshyan's sources, after that, the user named “Maria…” demanded $2,500 from him to prevent the video call recording from being published online. The police are undertaking the necessary operational investigative measures to determine the identity of the user named “Maria…”.
Shamshyan's information suggests that B.S. is a high-ranking official and the deputy director of one of the well-known companies operating in the republic.
Notice: An individual suspected or accused of a crime shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the procedure established by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and by a legally binding court decision.
