The Author of the Dog Killing in Ejmiatsin has Surrendered to the Police
The police have responded to a recent alert from the "Dingo Team" animal protection NGO, following a report on social media concerning the killing of stray dogs by unidentified individuals in the city of Ejmiatsin.
According to the police clarification, it states: "Recently, the ‘Dingo Team’ public organization published information on social media indicating that days ago, unidentified individuals carried out the killing of stray dogs in the city of Ejmiatsin. We wish to inform that a representative from the ‘Dingo Team’ submitted a report to the Vagharshapat police station regarding the incident. As a result of active cooperation between the department’s officers and local self-government representatives, along with extensive explanatory work, on July 22, a 57-year-old man living in Ejmiatsin presented himself at the Vagharshapat police station. He admitted to firing at the dogs with his legal hunting rifle, justifying his actions by claiming the animals were attempting to harm young children.
