22 People Detained After Protest in Ijevan; Search for 11 Others Underway
During the protests in Ijevan, following disturbances, law enforcement agencies have detained 22 individuals, with an additional 3 having voluntarily reported to the authorities. This information was provided by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
According to the Committee's statement, "13 individuals have been arrested on suspicion of participating in the disturbances and have been interrogated. A preventive measure in the form of a signature not to leave has been chosen for 7 individuals. 5 individuals hold the status of witnesses in the context of a criminal case. Measures are being undertaken to locate the remaining 11 individuals."
Necessary investigative actions are being carried out to clarify all circumstances of the incident, identify individuals suspected of committing the crime, individualize their actions, and provide a legal assessment of their conduct. Based on the collected evidence, relevant procedural decisions will be made, and the Investigative Committee will provide additional updates.
