Bear Causes Damage in Two Villages of Vayots Dzor
On July 17, at 14:00, the Armenian Emergency Situations Ministry received a report via the ‘911’ service indicating that on the night of July 16-17, a bear damaged five apricot trees near one of the houses on 8th Street in the village of Yelpin, Vayots Dzor region.
The information was forwarded to the head of the regional governor's agriculture and environmental protection department.
On the same day, at 10:00, another report came in through the ‘911’ service that a bear had damaged the wire fence of a property on 7th Street in the village of Shatin, also during the night of July 16-17. This information was similarly relayed to the relevant authorities.
