Conscripts Refuse to Return to Military Unit After Treatment: Ministry of Defense Takes Action
Based on a letter dated July 15, 2019, from the National Mental Health Committee of the Republic of Armenia, regarding the transfer of conscript soldier, private Yuriy Vanik Broyan, from a medical facility to his military unit, the military police of the Ministry of Defense arrived at the facility on the same day to carry out the transfer. However, upon arrival, they discovered that Private Broyan was no longer at the facility, having been discharged from the hospital and left in an unknown direction.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the military police have contacted the soldier's mother. She stated that her son does not intend to return to the military unit.
Private Y. Broyan was transferred to the National Mental Health Committee on June 6 of this year. The military police of the Ministry of Defense are taking measures to return the soldier to his military unit.
