Residents of Yerevan's Aghbyuratsner Street 2 Complain About Sewage Infiltrating Their Homes
Residents of Aghbyuratsner Street 2 in the Kentron district of Yerevan are sounding alarms about sewage flooding into their homes. They have repeatedly approached the authorities of the Kentron administrative district and relevant bodies, but "it's like shouting into the void."
"The sewer system is blocked. We have reported our concerns to the relevant authorities, stressing that our lives and health are at risk. It's a disgraceful situation; we can't sleep at all night long, and we can't find a way out of this predicament. We contacted 'Veolia Water' and have been waiting for about 20 days to see if it is possible to relocate the sewer line to another area or not," one resident told Tert.am.
According to them, one resident has even moved to a rented place elsewhere because it’s impossible to live under such conditions. "This is inhumane treatment; we’re trying to endure as much as we can. One resident has left home and is renting a place until this issue is resolved. No matter whom we contact, they neither come nor check on us. We have reached out to various instances. We are asking for a resolution to our problem," they added.
More details are available in the Tert.am video.
