Kocharyan's Legal Team Submits Cassation Appeals

The legal team of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, submitted cassation appeals yesterday, July 11, regarding the decision to impose detention as a preventive measure against him. The defense lawyers have filed two appeals against the decision made by the Court of Appeal.

It is noteworthy that on June 25, the Court of Appeal, presided over by Armen Danielyan, upheld the appeals submitted by the prosecutor, the victim, and the victim's representative, Seda Safaryan. As per the court's decision, the personal guarantees provided by former and current presidents of Artsakh for Robert Kocharyan have been revoked, and it has been decided to apply detention as a preventive measure.
