Homeopathy to Be Removed from List of Professions, Says Arsen Torosyan

The Minister of Health of Armenia, Arsen Torosyan, discussed sector issues during a Facebook press conference with the 'Liberty' radio station. The minister addressed the topic of medical insurance and indicated when it would apply to patients with heart problems for free services.

“In the case of acute myocardial infarction diagnosed with an ST elevation on the electrocardiogram, the patient is treated for free. The government spends several billion drams on this, and with the latest decisions, the budget allocated for these citizens has increased,” he stated.

He also touched upon the profession of homeopathy. “We will remove homeopathy from the list of professions. It will also be removed from the licensing list so that such licenses are not issued. The issue remains with the licenses already granted. Homeopathy is quackery, and it is unacceptable to cure people by making them consume sugar,” he emphasized.
