Leading Specialist from the Ministry of Finance Assaults Surgeon at St. Gregory the Illuminator Hospital Blaming Death of Father

According to Shamshyan.com, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan yesterday. Around 09:30, 38-year-old Nerses Vardanyan approached the police station in Nor Nork, reporting that on May 30, his 63-year-old father, Artashes Vardanyan, was admitted to the St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center with a diagnosis of "hernia in the right side." His father was operated on June 19, but passed away on June 25.

N. Vardanyan blames the doctors at St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center for his father's death, accusing them of not fulfilling their professional duties properly.

While materials regarding the incident were being prepared at the Nor Nork police department, on the same day, 38-year-old Artak Manukyan called the operational management center of the Yerevan city police, stating that the relatives of the deceased had assaulted 32-year-old Arman Tarakchyan in the hospital.

Police determined that the altercation involved Nerses Vardanyan, the son of the deceased A. Vardanyan, who struck Arman Tarakchyan during the argument.
