Former Interpol Chief Admits to Taking Bribes
The former head of Interpol and former deputy minister of public security of China, Meng Hongwei, has confessed to accepting bribes, as reported by RIA Novosti.
According to the Supreme People's Procuratorate of China, this confession came during a public court session held on June 20.
During the proceedings, the prosecution presented evidence confirming his guilt and conducted interrogations. “Following that, the defendant confessed to his guilt,” the agency stated in its announcement.
