During the court session, Robert Kocharian's defense attorney, Hovhannes Khudoyan, requested permission from the judge to make a statement. “Thank you, please have the statement recorded, I will allow you to express yourself in the future,” he said.

The defense attorney raised objections, while the judge repeatedly urged him not to speak out of turn and to take his seat. “Mr. Khudoyan, please take your seat. Mr. Khudoyan has ignored the court's request more than once to occupy his place. Your behavior is causing us to be unable to continue the court session. Respect the court, please take your seat. You are speaking continuously without permission,” the judge stated.
