Return of Former System 'Victims' to the Ministry of Defense
According to the newspaper 'Zhamanak', following the April 2016 war, General-Major Komitas Muradyan, who was dismissed from his position by the command of Serzh Sargsyan on April 26, has returned to the Ministry of Defense. At that time, he was the head of the Communication, Troops Communication, and Automated Control Systems Department of the Armed Forces of Armenia.
Notably, two generals dismissed by Serzh Sargsyan after the April war have returned to the Armed Forces under the new government. The first was General-Major Arshak Karapetyan, the former head of military intelligence, who is now an advisor to Nikol Pashinyan. Now, Komitas Muradyan has also made a return.
Among those who were notably dismissed following April is Alik Mirzabekyan, the former Deputy Minister of Defense and head of the Material and Technical Supply Department, whose return is also considered possible. Against the backdrop of the investigative committee formed regarding the four-day war, these appointments are quite remarkable.
