Tonoyan’s Son Hasn’t Left Artsakh, While Ashot Pashinyan Is in Armenia

The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports: 'In recent days, in addition to drones and helicopters, enemy special units have also been observed along the borders in Artsakh. We inquired with a source from the Artsakh Ministry of Defense whether Azerbaijan has withdrawn its military forces after the last Turkish-Azerbaijani military exercises. 'Yes, the troops have been withdrawn; there are some movements, but it’s still unclear whether they are remnants of the army or military corps at the border involved in training activities.'

It is noted that the situation tends to escalate prior to significant meetings. We remind you that a meeting between Mnatsakanyan and Mamedyarov will take place in Washington on June 20.

‘I would explain this more through the statement of the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Mamedyarov, who said that they have given Pashinyan a year to familiarize himself with the details of the Nagorno-Karabakh negotiation process. This means that the Azerbaijani side expects straightforward dialogue regarding the directions and principles of resuming negotiations and the existing documents at this moment; they want specifics, and as long as they don’t get them, these troop movements will continue.'

Incidentally, it was reported on social media that David Tonoyan's son has also moved to Armenia for 'preparatory courses.' However, a source clarified: 'No, Tonoyan's son has not left Artsakh.' As for Ashot Pashinyan, 'Ashot is in Armenia.'
