Will the Driver Receive a Warning or Get Dismissed? Hakob Karapetyan Explains

The driver of the minibus serving route 46 in Yerevan, who was featured in a controversial video that went viral yesterday, did not go to work today. This was reported to NEWS.am by Hakob Karapetyan, the spokesperson for the Mayor of Yerevan.

It is noteworthy that the driver refused to stop smoking when a passenger requested him to do so, and instead demanded that the passenger exit the vehicle.

"The line manager has been summoned to the Yerevan city hall this morning, and there will be a meeting with the staff of the city hall's transportation department," Karapetyan stated, adding that he cannot yet say whether the driver will receive a warning or be dismissed from his job.
