The State Oversight Service Targeted Ashotyan: "Hraparak"
"Hraparak" newspaper reports: "Yesterday, the State Oversight Service issued a statement summarizing the results of a six-month 'study' at the State Medical University. The SOS found violations related to construction and in the process of acquiring property valued at 222 million drams 'without any procurement procedures and at prices above market value,' while also providing additional salaries to 'individuals holding high administrative positions.' The results have been forwarded to the prosecutor's office.
It turns out that the violations date back to 2016, when the rector was Michaeil Narimanyan, a physician to the Catholicos, and the chairman of the Board of Trustees was Armen Ashotyan, who has become the target of this investigation. Armen Ashotyan refused to comment on this matter. Regarding the property, our sources mention the name of Ishkhan Saghatelyan, a representative of the ARF Supreme Body, as well.
