New Anti-Corruption Project Developed
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that the term of Armenia's latest, third anti-corruption strategy has expired. As is known, it was intended for the years 2015-2018.
"Zhoghovurd" has learned that the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia has circulated a revised version of the draft decision of the Government of Armenia on approving the "Anti-Corruption Strategy of the Republic of Armenia and the Action Plan for its Implementation for 2019-2022".
By the way, the main three directions of the project in the fight against corruption are the prevention of corruption, the detection of corrupt crimes, and anti-corruption education and awareness.
In recent years, there has been no shortage of strategic anti-corruption programs in Armenia, but during the previous government's tenure, corruption reached unimaginable levels, and all of this was revealed after the Velvet Revolution. This means that it is not documents that are needed for the fight against corruption, but the political will of the authorities.
