National Assembly has entered an 'economy mode': Zhoghovurd
The National Assembly has recorded savings in the state budget for 2018. However, it turns out that the reason is not due to effective management or spending cuts, but rather the aftermath of the Velvet Revolution.
Specifically, the newspaper 'Zhoghovurd' has learned that the budget has been executed at 91.2 percent, with a deviation of 391 million 330 thousand drams. Of this amount, 69.6 percent or 281 million drams is attributed to foreign business trips and representation expenses.
Several trips and meetings were canceled due to the Velvet Revolution and early parliamentary elections, while an additional 33 million drams have already been saved from energy service payments, thanks to favorable weather conditions that reduced the need for strong heating in the Parliament building. Additionally, expenses related to foreign business trips decreased by 7.24 percent.
