Foreigners Clean the Area Around Garni Gorge

A Facebook user, Maram Ava, has shared photos showing that foreigners in Armenia have cleaned up a polluted area near the Garni Temple.

“Just now, while I was lost in thoughts about this bus route theme, I opened Instagram and saw in my Iranian friend's story that my Swiss, Swedish, and Indian acquaintances went to the Garni Temple today, then went down to the river and, seeing the litter, decided to collect it. I was very touched, embarrassed, and grateful. I couldn't help but share this, to show it off. It's wonderful that there are still clean and noble people in the world. They are neither from this country nor do they live here; they are merely tourists who are conscientious about nature.... I hope this spreads and serves as motivation for our compatriots to avoid pollution and care about their surroundings,” she wrote.
