Back to Square One: Will Gagik Jhangiryan Return to His Previous Position?
According to the newspaper “Zhamanak,” on February 23, 2008, Robert Kocharyan signed a decree to dismiss Gagik Jhangiryan from the position of Deputy Prosecutor General. The reason was that Jhangiryan had participated in a rally organized by presidential candidate Levon Ter-Petrosyan the day before and had made a speech.
It is possible that in the near future, Kocharyan's decree may be declared illegal, which would allow Jhangiryan to return to his previous position.
