Powers Granted to Arthur Hovhannisyan
The Central Electoral Commission has prepared a protocol for granting a parliamentary mandate to Arthur Hovhannisyan during its meeting held on June 10. The statement from the Central Electoral Commission notes: “Based on the National Assembly President's protocol from June 7 regarding the termination of the parliamentary powers of National Assembly member Narine Khachatryan, and guided by Article 100, Part 3 of the Electoral Code, a protocol has been composed, stating that the parliamentary mandate of the member elected from the electoral list of the ‘My Step’ alliance, whose powers have been prematurely terminated, is granted to the next candidate from the first part of the nationwide electoral list of the same alliance, Arthur Hovhannisyan.” Earlier, it was reported that Ararat Mirzoyan had signed the protocol for Narine Khachatryan’s resignation from her mandate.
